Komodo Digital’s Newcastle office was filled with the lively fintech community as we played host to the second edition of the FinTech North’s Social Series - aptly named FinTech Upon Tyne.
The event was a collaborative effort between the brilliant team at FinTech North and our team at Komodo Digital. You can watch a video recap here.
FinTech North serves as a unifying force within the FinTech ecosystem for the Northern Powerhouse. With a commitment to openness and collaboration, they create a platform for sharing ideas, addressing challenges, and celebrating the best practices of the industry.
A mission that goes along well with ours!
For those unfamiliar, Komodo is a digital agency nestled in the heart of Newcastle here to help startups, SMEs and public sector organisations create better digital experiences by building and refining better digital products and services.
The turnout didn’t disappoint with over 70 professionals, ranging from industry leaders in finance and entrepreneurs to passionate finance enthusiasts all gathering in our studio space.
The atmosphere was nothing short of electric and certainly a testament to the huge presence of the North East’s FinTech community.
The Newcastle FinTech community had the opportunity to connect and catch up for the first time since earlier in 2023 for the Newcastle conference at The Mining Institute in July.
It was a great opportunity for professionals to share their invaluable experiences, while newcomers found inspiration in the stories of others. There were plenty of lively discussions, free-flowing ideas, and the buffet wasn’t bad either.
The event was not just a networking opportunity; it was a celebration of the passion and dedication that define the North East’s FinTech landscape.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended, making the evening memorable. The event was a resounding success, and we can’t wait for the Manchester conference and the next opportunity to bring this incredible community together in Newcastle!
