What it is like here
We may not have a fancy collective noun for our team, but we know a thing or two about researching, designing and building digital products.
Komodo is a senior-led product studio in Newcastle, shipping software since 2003 for everyone from police forces to fast-growing private firms. We are AI-accelerated now: AI runs right through the workflow, under senior judgement rather than instead of it.
Senior-led is the part you would feel day to day. There is no pyramid here with one experienced person at the top and a lot of guesswork underneath. The people who scoped the work are on it, nobody is handed a ticket without the reasoning behind it, and you would be expected to have an opinion about the thing you are building.
We also stand behind what we ship. Twelve months of support comes as standard and plenty of our work is still running years later, so you meet the consequences of your own decisions instead of moving on before they land. Same reason we talk to clients in plain English: it is harder to hide behind.
